Fundació Vila Casas

At ARCO Madrid 2025, one of the world’s leading contemporary art fairs, AirParfum partnered with Fundació Vila Casas to transform four artworks into immersive, multi-sensory experiences.

Visitors were invited to go beyond sight, exploring the emotional depth of each piece through scent. Thanks to its contamination free, dry olfactive technology, AirParfum made it possible to safely integrate fragrance into sensitive cultural spaces–preserving the integrity of the artworks while enhancing the visitor experience. 

The following works from the foundation’s collection were brought to life with scent:

Mateu Negre, Frontalitat Endins. Serie “Bosque Quemado” (1983)

Evelyn H. Lauder, Botes de pesca en la playa, Indonesia (1993)

María Bleda y José Mª Rosa, Cavea, Segóbriga. Serie “Ciudades” (1999)

Sergi Barnils, Miquees 6, 8 (2016)

Each scent was crafted by Senior Perfumer at Puig, Gregorio Sola Vela, to evoke the mood, memory, or landscape within the artwork–adding an olfactory layer to the way we perceive and experience visual art.
