At Tech & Play Festival 2023 in Barcelona, an event organized by Mobile World Capital, AirParfum invited visitors to embark on a multisensory exploration of the city—through scent. Senior Perfumer Gregorio Sola Vela (Puig) created six fragrances to capture the essence of iconic locations such as Park Güell, Santa Maria del Mar, Las Ramblas, Carrer Petritxol, Barceloneta, and Camp Nou. 

The experience was brought to life through AirParfum’s dry diffusion technology and a custom-built interface connected to the metaverse. Each user’s avatar, personalized to reflect their unique traits, walked through the virtual recreations of these emblematic locations while the user experienced the corresponding scents in real-time. Artificial intelligence generated an olfactory profile for each visitor and embedded it into their digital identity, guiding them through a personalized scent journey suggesting the next step in their exploration of Barcelona through fragrance.
